From my work experience, I have developed confidence in my communication skills as I was able to interact with people of different age groups, different cultural and educational backgrounds and I was able to interact with people of different abilities, which is a skill I hope to use with fellow economist, research staff, customers and other social scientist in both oral and written form in the future. It also increased my confidence in my research abilities and will be useful to me as an economist when gathering data and during data consolidation. During the summer holidays, 2010, I organized a one week fundraising event which was a charity walk for 12 miles for leukaemia. I have also been a team leader in many other school events. Studying A-level Economics, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Key Skills and Extended Project has enhanced my critical thinking skills and will help me when providing an analytical explanation to economic phenomenon.

I am a very active member of my society and in my spare time I enjoy participating in church where I play the piano. I also enjoy reading and writing. I love running and dancing because they help me keep fit physically and are great stress relievers.

I would love to study at Buckingham university because it presents me the opportunity to study economics in a shorter time frame. I also like that it has a good reputation as it has remained top for student satisfaction from 2006-2010 in the National Student Survey, UK. I am also very impressed with its rate of student employability. Moreover, I have friends at the University who have spoken very well of it.

I hope that you consider my academic abilities, enthusiasm for learning and independent work to help me in achieving my dream of becoming the best economist I can be.
